How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Porsche Taycan?
There’s no magic Porsche tax just because there’s a crest on the hood.
But the route, season, equipment and type of transport absolutely matter.
Most Porsche Taycan shipments generally work out somewhere around $1–$2 per mile, with longer routes typically costing less per mile than shorter runs.
Here are a few rough examples:

Florida routes are a perfect example. During snowbird season, transportation demand becomes heavily directional, and the price of moving the exact same Taycan can look very different depending on which direction it’s headed.
Open or Enclosed? It Depends on Your Taycan.
Not every Porsche needs to disappear into an enclosed trailer.
Open transport can make perfect sense for a regularly driven Taycan. It’s considerably more economical and remains the way most vehicles are transported across the country.
But let’s say we’re talking about a beautifully spec’d GTS sitting on expensive wheels.
Or a Turbo S.
Or your new Turbo GT that you waited months to get exactly right.

Enclosed transport adds protection from weather, road debris and exposure while the vehicle is in transit. It’s often our preference for particularly valuable, pristine or special-spec Taycans—and for owners who simply don’t want to spend three days wondering what’s flying around on I-95.
We don’t automatically tell every Porsche owner they need enclosed transport.

The Taycan Sits Low. The Loading Angle Matters.
This is where we start getting picky.
The Taycan’s low stance is part of what makes the car look so good. It also means we’re paying attention when it goes onto a transporter.
Approach angle matters.
A carrier needs to be able to load the vehicle without putting the front bumper, underbody or rocker panels in a bad position. Depending on the Taycan and its setup, that may mean specific loading equipment or additional care when approaching the ramps.
And if you’ve modified yours, tell us.
Lowered suspension? Aftermarket aero? Different wheel and tire setup? Front lip?
Those aren’t tiny details when we’re matching your car with a truck.
We’d much rather know about the extra 20 mm you took out of the ride height before the carrier shows up than discover it while staring at a set of ramps.
Yes, Your Taycan Is Heavy
The Taycan hides it well. 5,000 ish lbs.
A large battery pack means even Porsche’s electric sports car carries serious weight, and that’s something the transporter needs to account for.
Carrier weight limits aren’t suggestions. A Taycan has to be factored into the truck’s overall load alongside every other vehicle being transported.
It doesn’t mean your Porsche needs some mythical EV-only transport truck. It means the broker and carrier need to know exactly what they’re moving before dispatch.

Before Your Taycan Gets on the Truck
There’s not much you need to do.
Remove loose personal belongings, leave enough battery charge for the car to be safely loaded and unloaded, and let us know about modifications or mechanical issues before pickup.
There’s no reason to hand the carrier a Taycan sitting at 100% charge. It simply needs enough battery to move on and off the transporter without drama.
We also recommend taking clear photos of the car before pickup.
