The car is part of the show. Getting it there shouldn’t be.

Show cars aren’t ordinary shipments.

Maybe you’re bringing a collector car to a concours. Sending a vehicle to an exhibition. Picking up a purchase after an auction. Moving a prototype or specialty vehicle for an industry event.

Whatever the reason, there’s usually a date on the calendar that isn’t moving.

Autos On The Go coordinates auto show car transport nationwide, including open and enclosed shipping for collector cars, exotics, classics, prototypes and specialty vehicles.

We’ve been arranging vehicle transport since 2008.

Transport Built Around the Event

With ordinary auto transport, a little flexibility can make everything easier.

Event transport is different.

Registration opens Thursday. Load-in is Friday. The auction ends Saturday. The car needs to be there.

That changes how we approach the shipment.

We work backward from your schedule, determine a realistic pickup window and coordinate the transport around when the vehicle actually needs to arrive.

If the timeline is unusually tight, expedited auto transport may be available for shipments where a standard pickup window won’t work.

Enclosed Transport for Cars That Need It

For collector, exotic, prototype and high-value vehicles, enclosed transport is often the right choice.

An enclosed carrier protects the vehicle from weather and road debris during transit while providing equipment better suited to specialty vehicles.

Low-clearance car?

Tell us.

Modified suspension?

Tell us.

A vehicle that can’t simply be driven up a standard ramp?

Definitely tell us.

The more we know about the car before dispatch, the better we can match it with the right equipment.

And if enclosed transport isn’t necessary for your particular vehicle, we’ll tell you that too.

Buying a Car at an Auction?

Some of the best cars change hands hundreds or thousands of miles from home.

We coordinate transport from collector-car auctions and automotive events around the country, including vehicles purchased at events hosted by companies such as Mecum and Barrett-Jackson.

Once you’ve bought the car, we’ll coordinate pickup and get it headed home.

If the auction has a removal deadline or storage charges begin after a certain date, let us know upfront.

Those details matter.

Autos On The Go is an independent auto transport broker and is not affiliated with Mecum Auctions or Barrett-Jackson.

Shipping a Car to a Concours or Exhibition

When you’re sending a vehicle to an event rather than simply moving it from one garage to another, presentation matters.

You may be dealing with a designated load-in area, restricted delivery hours, event staff, security requirements or a venue that doesn’t have room for a full-size carrier.

We’ll discuss those details before dispatch.

Sometimes delivery directly to the venue makes sense.

Sometimes the better plan is to meet the carrier nearby and drive the vehicle the final distance.

The goal is to figure that out before the truck arrives, not while it’s sitting outside the gate.

Timing Matters

Auto shows, auctions and concours don’t wait because a truck is running behind.

If your vehicle has a hard arrival date, tell us from the beginning.

We’ll look at the route, carrier availability and your event schedule and tell you what kind of pickup window gives us a realistic chance of meeting it.

And if you’ve waited until the last minute?

Call us anyway.

We’ve handled plenty of shipments that started with, “I need this car out of here tomorrow.”

We just won’t promise something we can’t deliver.

After the Show

Getting the vehicle there is only half the trip.

We can coordinate the return transport as well, whether the car is heading directly home, traveling to another event or going somewhere else entirely.

For customers attending multiple events, we can discuss the schedule as a whole rather than treating every shipment like an unrelated move.

That can make the logistics considerably easier.

What We Need From You

The basics are simple:

  • Year, make and model
  • Pickup and delivery locations
  • Vehicle condition
  • Any modifications or clearance concerns
  • Open or enclosed preference
  • Your event or auction dates
  • Your delivery date

If there’s something unusual about the vehicle or venue, mention it.

The detail that seems insignificant is often the one that matters when the truck arrives.

Experience Matters More When the Car Isn’t Ordinary

Autos On The Go has coordinated vehicle transport nationwide since 2008.

We’ve worked with everyday vehicles, exotics, classics, collector cars and specialty shipments that require considerably more planning than simply finding an open spot on a truck.

We’re not interested in telling you everything will be perfect just to get the booking.

We’ll tell you what the route looks like, what equipment makes sense and what timeline we believe is realistic.

Then we’ll coordinate the details.
