Shipping a Moke Is Different From Shipping a Typical Car
A Moke may be small, but we don’t treat it like a golf cart.
Current electric Mokes have a compact footprint, an open-air body and a lithium battery system. Before dispatching a carrier, we confirm the specific Moke being transported, its condition and any modifications or accessories that could affect loading.
That matters with custom wheels, tops, covers or other equipment that may change the vehicle’s dimensions or require additional care.
Pickup and delivery access matters too. Mokes are often located in beach towns, gated communities, resorts and residential neighborhoods where a full-size auto transporter may not have enough room to safely maneuver. If direct access isn’t practical, we can coordinate a nearby meeting location with enough space for loading.
The goal is to work that out before the carrier arrives.
Open vs. Enclosed Moke Transport
Both open and enclosed auto transport can be options for a Moke.
Open transport is generally the more economical choice and may make sense for a standard Moke when the owner is comfortable with normal exposure during transit.
For many Moke shipments, however, we prefer enclosed transport.
Because of the vehicle’s open design, enclosed equipment provides additional protection from road debris, weather and exposure during a long-distance move. It can be particularly worthwhile for customized Mokes, special editions and vehicles kept in exceptional condition.
We’ll quote the appropriate options based on your Moke, route, timing and preferences rather than automatically putting every vehicle into the same type of carrier.
How Moke Auto Transport Works
The process is straightforward.
1. Tell Us About the Moke and Route
We’ll need the pickup and delivery locations, vehicle year and configuration, whether the Moke runs and drives, and your preferred transportation dates.
2. We Match the Vehicle With the Right Carrier
We arrange appropriate carrier equipment based on the vehicle and shipment. If you choose enclosed transportation, we’ll specifically dispatch an enclosed carrier.
3. Pickup and Vehicle Inspection
At pickup, the Moke is inspected and its existing condition is documented on the Bill of Lading before loading.

4. Transport and Delivery
The carrier transports the Moke to the agreed delivery location. At delivery, the vehicle is unloaded and inspected again before the shipment is completed.
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Moke?
Most Moke shipments will vary based on distance, route, season and whether you choose open or enclosed transport.

Enclosed transport generally costs more than open transport because fewer vehicles are carried at once and the Moke is protected from weather and road exposure during transit.
Seasonality can have a particularly large effect on routes between Florida and the Northeast. A Moke moving from Palm Beach to New York in spring, for example, may price differently than the same route at another time of year.
